Evening Desert Adventures

It is a must to visit Desert Safari when you are here in Dubai. It will be a mistake if you will miss this amazing adventure that the Emirate naturally has.

If you are a first timer for an adventure ride, I suggest that you get mentally and physically prepared. This journey is quite something unique and extraneous.

Standing in the middle of the vast array of the golden sand desert is love. You cannot explain the feeling of it that you just keep on smiling and grinning throughout the night.

I could compare the sand to an open sea, though the sea reflects the beautiful sky, the pure sand blends with the sun. They both melt your eyes and drown you in a fascinating feeling.

I did a brief reading about the Arabian Desert before coming here. Indeed, when you get into the wilderness and discover the unbelievable slopes, especially when the sand moves from the fierce of the wind. It is incredibly undeniably stunning.

Fortunate I am to go to Desert Safari on winter time. I don’t want to be negative about the summer experience in Dubai, but I just prefer the cold weather and feel the breeze of the wind on my cheeks.

The journey began with the bus picking us up from Dubai, 30 minutes away from the desert meeting place. That time, I said to myself, “I am really on it now”.

The desert ride dune-bashing by 4x4 land cruiser is totally hilarious. The land cruiser drivers are well trained in steering the terrain.  I did not stop even a single time screaming while on the ride. It was a mixture of nervousness and excitement. Literally, without a seatbelt, you will bump and jump out of your seat. It was a great tension reliever as well I guess.

After that extreme adventure, we headed to the camp area and enjoyed a couple of activities. You’ll just utter “Wow” because a crowd of camels, horse, quad bikes and cars will welcome you. I found myself confused which one I wanted to do first. Haha!

The camp was called the Bedouin camp, since the old days, the Bedouin are the one who started this wonderful tradition. When you enter the camp, you’ll find long low tables and Majilis pillows where you can comfortably sit on the sand. There is a stage in the middle where Bedouin’s are entertained by Belly dancers and Tanura dancers while smoking their flavored hubbly bubbly.

Just imagine the life long ago, free of tension and just relaxation I guess. I did come to the point of getting fascinated to have this kind of life nowadays.

Well, all I can say is that Desert Safari is a must to visit. Of course, who would not love to get a pick and drop, food, entertainment and relatively unique activities for an affordable price and lasting memories? Exaggerated it may be, but you’ll die to try it too.
